Room Acoustics

Room acoustics have a major influence on playback in HiFi listening rooms, project studios, control rooms and mixing or mastering environments. In particular, room modes and long decay times at low frequencies can make it more difficult to assess bass, timing and spatial presentation. Acoustic treatment should therefore be matched to room size, intended use, loudspeaker placement and the room’s actual acoustic behaviour. PSI Audio AVAA C214 active bass absorbers operate from 15 to 160 Hz and are designed to address low-frequency room modes in suitable listening rooms and studios.
