Studio equalizers shape tone, correct frequency ranges and support deliberate decisions in recording, mixing and mastering chains. Parametric equalizers allow precise control of selected bands, while passive, inductor and tube-based designs are often chosen for broader, musical tonal shaping. For stereo-bus and mastering work, stepped controls, accurate channel matching, stereo or M/S operation, sufficient headroom and recall-friendly settings are especially important.
