Warm Audio WA-67 Tube Condenser Microphone

The original 1967 microphone became one of the most sought-after and widely used studio microphones of its time, capturing countless iconic recordings over the past 50 years — from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and The Temptations to Nirvana.

Vintage originals remain highly desirable, but pristine examples often sell for over $8,000, putting them out of reach for most studios. Fortunately, Warm Audio has changed that with the release of the WA-67 — a modern recreation based on an EF86 pentode tube, delivering the same smooth and creamy tone as the original. It elevates any source and quickly becomes a go-to choice for vocals, guitars, drum toms and overheads, piano, brass, and strings.

To fully capture the characteristics of the specially crafted capsule and EF86 tube, Warm Audio designed the circuit using boutique-grade components of the highest quality. The signal path features high-bandwidth polystyrene capacitors, Wima polypropylene capacitors, and a large Solen output capacitor. The custom large-core Lundahl transformer from Sweden plays a crucial role in shaping the silky high-end response and the enormous three-dimensional sound of the WA-67.
