Synergistic Research PowerCell 12 SX Line Conditioner
 
The Synergistic Research PowerCell 12 SX is a high-end audiophile power conditioner that brings much of the Galileo SX PowerCell technology to a more compact, 12‑outlet chassis. With a non‑current‑limiting design, advanced EM Cells, pure silver wiring and a Schumann‑based ULF field generator, it is engineered to lower the noise floor and increase dynamics in serious stereo and home audio systems across the EU.
 
The PowerCell 12 SX uses a Neutrik Powercon 32 A input and 12 Blue UEF outlets arranged in two isolated banks to separate analog and digital components. Its non‑current‑limiting architecture ensures that even powerful amplifiers can draw current freely, preserving dynamic impact and control compared to conventional conditioners that may restrict peak current.
 
A shunt conditioner network with five UEF Cells, two ULF Cells and six Active EM Cells provides extensive filtration and energy storage. The carbon‑fiber folded EM Cells are 25% larger and more densely packed than those in the standard PowerCell 12, delivering greater filtration efficiency, more energy storage and improved perceived dynamic range.
 
At the heart of the PowerCell 12 SX is a Galileo SX‑derived power supply and Schumann Resonance generator, which bias all six Active EM Cells rather than just a single flat EM Cell. By using a carefully chosen harmonic of the Earth’s Schumann resonance, the ULF system reduces RF and high‑frequency noise while enhancing detail retrieval, holographic imaging and overall realism.
 
Internally, the PowerCell 12 SX features approximately 18 m (59 ft) of parallel 14 AWG (2.1 mm²) 6N pure silver air‑string wiring for ultra‑low‑impedance power delivery. Orange capacitors and Orange‑technology outlets, together with a Galileo SX‑inspired ground topology, contribute to a lower noise floor, greater harmonic richness and enhanced musicality compared to the standard PowerCell 12.
 
Ground filtration is further improved via a wiring topology developed for the Galileo SX PowerCell, and the PowerCell 12 SX can optionally be connected to a Synergistic Research Active Ground Block through a dedicated ground connection. This lowers the noise floor even more while still preserving all 12 AC outlets for your components, making it ideal for complex systems that use every outlet.
A front‑facing amp meter and a large plexiglass top window showcase the hand‑built circuitry and allow you to monitor current draw at a glance. Selectable lighting lets you match the color and intensity (e.g. Galileo White, Synergistic Research Blue, Dante Red, McIntosh Blue) to the rest of your system or switch lighting off entirely. The aircraft‑aluminum housing weighs 12.7 kg and measures 44.5 × 34 × 14 cm (17.5 × 13.5 × 5.5 inch), providing solid construction and practical installation options.
