Featuring a distinct blend of color and clarity, the Soyuz 023 BOMBLET condenser is perfect for capturing everything from drums to amplifiers. With its forgiving top-end, smooth midrange, and thick lows, the Bomblet complements the aggressive tonalities of brighter instruments – and vocals – without sacrificing transients or detail.

The Bomblet is a exceptionally easy microphone to use: it captures a full, balanced sound, regardless of placement and distance. An exceptionally forgiving sonic profile makes it an excellent choice for singers seeking a warm, colorful texture that is, nonetheless, true to the source. On louder and bass-heavy sources like electric guitar amplifiers, kick drums, and bass amplifiers, the Bomblet delivers a tight, full-bodied punch that captures the low-end extension of instruments with the clarity to cut through a dense mix. In addition, the proprietary Soyuz transformer imparts a thickness and character that enhances and complements sources that generally demand accuracy: cello, upright bass, bass clarinet, trombone and so forth.

The engineers at Soyuz have spent decades studying, servicing and building classic microphones; this unique pool of knowledge, craft and skill – combined with the ears of numerous musicians, producers and audio engineers – has culminated in the creation of the Bomblet’s custom S23 capsule. A different design than that of the 017 series, the S23 is Soyuz’ reimagining of Lomo’s Russian version of the CK12 capsule: with its thick low-end, pronounced mid-range, and detailed top end – one that is forgiving and flatters high frequency sources rather than exaggerating them.Features:Thick low-end, pronounced mid-range, and smooth top-end Includes 20 dB pad for loud sources Custom large capsule designed and machined in-houseProprietary toroidal transformer imparts color and depth Comes in a hand-crafted Russian hardwood box 100% handmadeThe 017 TUBE features a cardioid capsule with a gold-sputtered, hand-tuned 34mm diaphragm; an omni-directional capsule is currently available, with additional patterns in development. As with all Soyuz microphones, the 017 TUBE is completely handmade: bodies and capsules are manually machined, transformers are wound in-house, and all wiring is true point-to-point.

The 017 TUBE has quickly become the go-to vocal microphone of such artists as Coldplay, Radiohead, Shawn Mendes, the Lumineers, and Paramore, among others. Well-known producers and engineers who have adopted it include Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Beck), Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Lumineers, Lady Gaga), Sylvia Massy (Prince, Johnny Cash), and Butch Walker (Pink, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne) and many more.

The engineers at Soyuz have spent decades studying, servicing, and building classic microphones; this unique pool of knowledge, craft and skill – combined with the ears of numerous musicians, producers and audio engineers – has culminated in the creation of the 017 Series’ custom S17 capsule.  Featuring a gold-sputtered, hand-tuned 34mm diaphragm, the S17 is loosely based on the original K67 capsule developed in 1960. Far from creating another clone of a classic, however, Soyuz has further developed the design, modifying its assembly and tuning. The result, when paired with Soyuz’s original schematic, is unique – and uniquely musical.
