Of course, we have selected only the highest quality components for the Decade. For instance, the input stages ensure an astonishingly low-noise performance. It’s no coincidence that these same components are used in top-tier mixing consoles and microphone preamps from leading professional studio electronics manufacturers.
 
The highly precise passive RIAA equalization network is positioned between two linear gain stages and is implemented using low-loss precision MKP capacitors. This allows impulses, dynamics, and tonal colors to reach the listener with absolute purity.
 
To enhance your listening experience even further, we have developed the PWX II power supply, delivering even more power. With carefully placed inductors at critical points, it provides the Decade with ultra-low-noise DC voltages. Like the Silver Cube, it connects to the audio unit via a shielded cable with Neutrik connectors. Additionally, because the PWX II power supply is backward compatible with the original PWX power supply, you can also connect Black Cube series audio units—there is even a dedicated second output for this purpose.
 
Designed for Maximum Flexibility
 
Naturally, the Decade offers extensive customization options to suit your individual needs. Even exotic MC cartridges can be effortlessly paired with this outstanding phono stage—the maximum gain of 66 dB is more than sufficient. To ensure that even the most unusual MC systems find their perfect match, we have included a free slot for a custom impedance selection. Additionally, input capacitance can be individually adjusted to optimize performance.
 
The discrete Class-A output stage with high idle current ensures an open and fast sound signature, while also effortlessly driving longer cables.
 
Gain adjustment and the optional Soft Bass Rolloff Filter can be conveniently controlled via toggle switches on the front panel. The actual switching operations inside the chassis are handled by high-quality relays, ensuring maximum reliability and precision.
