Grimm Audio TPR XLR Cable, 8.0 m
The Grimm Audio TPR XLR Cable, 8.0 m is a professional balanced audio cable for demanding microphone, line-level and AES/EBU digital connections. Built with Grimm Audio’s TPR (Twisted Pair Reference) cable and professional Neutrik XLR connectors, it is an excellent choice for longer runs in recording studios, mixing rooms, mastering suites, broadcast facilities, live-sound rigs and high-end playback systems.
Originally developed for the refurbished Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, TPR was created to bring much of Grimm Audio’s flagship TPM cable philosophy to large-scale studio wiring at a more accessible cost. Its precise twisted-pair geometry, highly symmetrical conductor layout, heavy shielding and specialised conductive interface layer work together to minimise RF pickup, external interference and mechanically induced noise.
The result is a robust, neutral and highly reliable cable for critical signal paths. At 8 metres, it is especially practical for connections between recording rooms and control rooms, remote microphone positions, monitor controllers, outboard processors, converters, mixing consoles and stage or broadcast infrastructure.
With its 110 Ω characteristic impedance, Grimm Audio TPR is also suitable for AES/EBU digital audio applications when fitted with the appropriate XLR terminations. Its 89% shield coverage and 100% conductive-polymer interface coverage help maintain a clean, stable connection in electrically demanding professional environments.
