The Amphion Two15 is a high‑end passive studio monitor pair built around a D’Appolito (MTM) configuration, designed for engineers who need main‑monitor precision in a compact form. By combining two 5.25" low‑/midrange drivers with a single 1" titanium tweeter in a vertical array, the Two15 delivers exceptional phase accuracy, transient fidelity and a laser‑focused centre image that make it a powerful tool for mixing, mastering and post‑production.
Each cabinet houses two custom 5.25" aluminium woofers working together in perfect phase alignment, with a 1" titanium dome tweeter seated in a high‑density Corian waveguide between them. As with other Amphion monitors, the crossover is set very low at 1600 Hz, so the critical midrange remains cohesive and time‑aligned while the tweeter handles only the very top end. The dual‑driver layout narrows vertical dispersion and keeps reflections from console and ceiling under control, while still offering a wide, even horizontal sweet spot. The result is a highly detailed, three‑dimensional soundstage with rock‑solid imaging and excellent translation across different playback systems.
Instead of ports, the Two15 uses a sealed enclosure with two rear passive radiators, extending the low end down to around 44 Hz (±3 dB) with tight, controlled bass and no port noise or overhang. Combined with a linear frequency response and precise phase behaviour, this gives you a truthful view of low‑end balance and punch, which is critical when making decisions about kick, bass and overall weight in the mix. At 4 ohms nominal impedance, 86 dB sensitivity (2.83 V/1 m) and a recommended amplifier power between about 50 and 200 W per speaker, the Two15 pairs extremely well with Amphion’s Amp700 stereo power amplifier, but will also perform with other high‑quality, high‑current amps.
In the studio, the Two15 Pair can function as a high‑resolution nearfield in larger control rooms, or as a compact midfield system where space is at a premium. Their natural, transparent and un‑hyped tonality, combined with very high resolution of dynamics and transients, allows you to work fast and intuitively without constant cross‑checking. Whether you are refining a dense pop mix, balancing acoustic recordings or judging subtle mastering moves, the Two15 will reveal both technical details and musical emotion in equal measure, helping your work translate consistently outside the studio.
