Warm Audio WA-47jr Large-Diaphragm FET Condenser Microphone
The Warm Audio WA-47jr is a transformerless, discrete FET version of the renowned ‘47’ classic that has been used on countless hit records over the past 50 years. The WA-47jr is equally suited for use in professional recording studios, home studios, live sound, and broadcast applications. It pairs beautifully with vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, acoustic and electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass, woodwinds, and many other sources.
The WA-47jr features a specially designed K47 capsule, the same style used in the original ‘47’ microphone and also found in its larger tube sibling, the WA-47. Manufactured with exceptional care and precision by an Australian capsule maker, it delivers a tone very similar to that of the original 47 microphones.
Inside, the WA-47jr uses a 100% discrete circuit with high-quality Toshiba FETs, Wima film capacitors, and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors. While the circuit design has been modernized and simplified compared to the original, the components and engineering throughout are first-class, providing an exceptional level of sonic performance.
