The Grimm Audio TPR is a twisted-pair recording cable with precise double shielding and low susceptibility to external interference. It was originally developed for the renowned Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands following their major refurbishment and reopening, where the first 50 kilometres of TPR cable were installed.
TPR delivers performance that closely approaches Grimm Audio’s highly regarded TPM cable while offering a more cost-effective solution for larger installations. It is an excellent choice for connecting multiple devices, wiring complete analogue studio systems, or creating dependable microphone- and line-level signal paths without compromising on signal integrity.
The physics of an ideal audio cable is strongly influenced by its immunity to radio-frequency interference and other unwanted noise. Effective noise rejection depends on precise cable geometry, excellent conductor symmetry and highly effective shielding. Grimm Audio TPR applies these principles through a carefully engineered twisted-pair construction, highly symmetrical cross-section and double shielding.
A semi-conductive interface layer beneath the shield further reduces susceptibility to interference, making TPR a highly robust choice for professional recording, mixing, broadcast and installation environments.
