The Grimm Audio TPR XLR Male to XLR Female Cable is a premium balanced audio cable for professional microphone, line-level and AES/EBU digital connections. Available in lengths from 1 m to 12 m, it provides a dependable, low-noise solution for recording studios, mixing rooms, mastering suites, broadcast facilities, professional live-sound systems and high-end HiFi installations.

Built with Grimm Audio’s TPR (Twisted Pair Reference) cable and professional Neutrik XLR connectors, each assembly combines precise twisted-pair geometry, highly symmetrical conductors, heavy shielding and a conductive interface layer beneath the screen. This construction is designed to minimise RF pickup, electromagnetic interference and mechanically induced cable microphonics—especially important in complex studio systems with power supplies, digital equipment, lighting, networking infrastructure and multiple parallel cable runs.

Originally developed for the refurbished Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, Grimm Audio TPR brings a physics-led approach to professional studio wiring. It offers performance close to Grimm’s flagship TPM cable while remaining a practical choice for complete analogue installations, multi-device setups and longer cable runs.The standard XLR male-to-XLR female configuration supports balanced point-to-point connections between professional audio devices.

Depending on the equipment layout, it is suitable for linking microphones, preamps, audio interfaces, AD/DA converters, monitor controllers, mixing consoles, patchbays, outboard processors, active loudspeakers, stageboxes and broadcast equipment.

With a 110 Ω characteristic impedance, TPR is also suitable for AES/EBU digital audio applications. Choose the required length according to your installation while allowing enough slack for safe routing, service access and strain-free connector placement.
