The Amphion One12 is Amphion’s most compact passive nearfield monitor, designed for professional workspaces where space is limited but accuracy still matters. Despite its small footprint, the One12 Pair delivers a surprisingly full and honest picture of your audio, making it a serious reference for composing, editing, mixing and even light mastering in smaller rooms or mobile rigs.
 
Each One12 uses a 4.5" aluminium woofer and a 1" titanium dome tweeter set into a high‑density Corian waveguide. This combination, together with Amphion’s very low 1600 Hz crossover point, keeps the entire critical midrange in a single driver and ensures excellent time and phase coherence between woofer and tweeter. The result is a rock‑solid phantom centre, three‑dimensional stereo imaging and an unusually wide sweet spot for such a small speaker – you can move around the desk and still trust what you are hearing.
 
Instead of a port, the One12 employs a rear passive radiator in a sealed‑style cabinet, which delivers tight, even low end without exaggerated port resonances. With a usable frequency response typically quoted from around 78 Hz to 20 kHz (some distributors specify down to 50 Hz at ±3 dB), the One12 reaches deep enough for most nearfield work while keeping bass controlled and predictable. At 8 ohms nominal impedance, 84 dB sensitivity (2.83 V/1 m) and a recommended amplifier power of 20–100 W, the One12 pairs perfectly with Amphion’s own Amp100 or any high‑quality, low‑noise power amp.
 
In practice, the One12 Pair is ideal as a primary monitor in compact control rooms and project studios, as a secondary reference alongside larger systems, or as a mobile reference in OB vans and remote rigs.
