MiG SRX are Synergistic Research’s most advanced Mechanical Interface Grounding (MiG) isolation footers, designed to shape vibrational energy rather than simply damp it. By combining a MiG resonator with a highly sophisticated base, three distinct UEF Metamaterial formulations and carbon‑tungsten bearings in a CNC‑machined aircraft‑aluminum and carbon‑fibre chassis with variable wall thickness, they act as a true “energy‑shaping resonance engine” for your components. The result is a lower noise floor, higher resolution, increased image density and a more realistic, holographic soundstage compared to previous MiG generations.
 
Each set contains three MiG SRX footers and offers two clear tuning options via placement pattern (Pinpoint and Ambient), so you can tailor the sound of your system and room without changing any electronics.
 
Pinpoint and Ambient tuning
 
MiG SRX are intended to be used with two primary tuning patterns that you can easily compare by changing the position of the three footers under your component.
 
Pinpoint tuning
 
In the Pinpoint configuration, the three MiG SRX are arranged to maximise focus and image precision.
The soundstage becomes more sharply defined.
Voices and instruments lock more firmly into position.
Front‑to‑back layering and centre fill are more explicit.
This tuning is ideal if you want maximum accuracy, transient snap and clearly drawn spatial information from well‑sorted systems and well‑treated rooms.
 
Ambient tuning
 
In the Ambient configuration, the placement shifts the balance towards a more expansive, enveloping presentation.
 
The stage extends wider and deeper.
There is more air and bloom around instruments.
The overall character is slightly more relaxed, while fine detail remains intact.
This tuning often works well in leaner systems or rooms that benefit from more openness and a touch more warmth. Switching between Pinpoint and Ambient is done simply by following the recommended layouts (for example, two footers at the front / one at the rear vs. one at the front / two at the rear) and listening to familiar tracks to decide which pattern better suits your taste.
