The newly released IGS Audio VOLF is a homage to the legendary UREI 1176, enhanced with modern features – as a stereo FET compressor featuring dual FET limiter capabilities optimized for precise bass frequency control.
 
The 1176 Heritage Reimagined

The VOLF channels the spirit of the iconic UREI 1176 – celebrated for its ultra-fast attack times (20μs–1.2ms) and crystal-clear compression. This dual FET limiter tames wild low-end dynamics with punch and analog warmth, expanded by stereo processing for studio tracking, mix buses, and live applications. Intuitive controls and Class A FET compressor architecture deliver controlled bass without character loss – essential for 1176-style compression enthusiasts.
