Built with Grimm Audio’s TPR (Twisted Pair Reference) cable and premium Neutrik XLR connectors, it provides a reliable, low-noise signal path for recording studios, mixing rooms, mastering suites, broadcast facilities and professional live-sound systems.
Developed for the refurbished Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, TPR brings Grimm Audio’s physics-led cable design to demanding professional installations. Its precise twisted-pair geometry, highly symmetrical conductor layout, heavy shielding and conductive interface layer are engineered to reduce RF pickup, electromagnetic interference and mechanically induced microphonic noise.
The 12.0 m length is particularly suited to longer runs between recording and control rooms, remote microphone locations, stageboxes, patchbays, converters, monitor controllers, outboard processors, mixing consoles and broadcast infrastructure. It offers the flexibility needed for larger studio rooms and live environments while retaining the dependable screening and balanced transmission required for critical audio connections.
With a 110 Ω characteristic impedance, Grimm Audio TPR is also suitable for AES/EBU digital audio applications. The standard XLR male-to-XLR female configuration supports balanced point-to-point wiring, with the female XLR commonly connected to a source output and the male XLR connected to a destination input.
