The Amphion One25A is a 3‑way active full‑range studio monitor designed to deliver Amphion’s trademark natural, time‑coherent sound across the entire audible spectrum. Sold as a matched pair, the One25A represents the culmination of more than 25 years of Amphion’s work in advanced acoustic design and pure signal paths, now combined with the control and headroom of a purpose‑built active system. It is aimed squarely at high‑end production, mixing, mastering and post‑production environments where translation, depth and emotional impact all matter in equal measure.

Each One25A combines a 1" titanium tweeter, a dedicated 5.25" aluminium midrange driver and a powerful 10" aluminium bass driver in a sealed, dual‑chamber cabinet. The midrange sits in its own isolated enclosure, while the bass driver is housed in a separate hexagonal chamber; this dual‑cabinet concept minimises acoustic cross‑coupling and suppresses standing waves, keeping the entire spectrum clean and tightly controlled. Crossover points at 100 Hz and 2000 Hz ensure that low‑frequency energy is handled by the large woofer, the critical midrange stays on a single driver and the tweeter is free to focus on speed and detail, resulting in exceptional resolution, phase accuracy and a seamless transition between bands.

Amplification is built into an external amplifier pack that bolts to the rear of each cabinet and can be detached and rack‑mounted if desired. Each One25A provides 700 W of power for the bass section plus 2 × 205 W for mid and high, with very low distortion (THD+N around 0.002%), giving plenty of headroom for transient‑rich material and full‑range program. The system delivers a frequency response of roughly 22 Hz to 22 kHz (‑3 dB) and a maximum SPL of around 112 dB, making it a genuine full‑range monitor suitable for music production, film and TV scoring, audio post, classical recording and immersive or screen‑music work in rooms where you would traditionally rely on mains and subwoofers. A balanced XLR input and universal 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz power input simplify integration into modern studio infrastructures.

In daily use, the One25A Pair offers the clarity and natural tonal balance Amphion is known for, but with an extended low end that reaches comfortably into true sub‑bass territory without resorting to ports or separate subs. The sealed design keeps bass tight and controlled, while Amphion’s controlled‑dispersion waveguide technology (U/D/D, 5th generation) maintains imaging and consistency across the listening area, helping you make precise decisions about low‑end weight, midrange density and spatial placement. The simple, elegant active crossover and protection limiter only touch the signal when necessary, preserving the directness and musicality that engineers expect from Amphion’s passive range. For studios transitioning from traditional mains plus sub systems to a more compact, self‑contained full‑range solution, the Amphion One25A provides a powerful, revealing and musical alternative that still feels effortless to work on for long hours.
