Synergistic Research set the bar high with Excite SX to exceed the performance of all previous SR AC cords with Active Shielding powered by an outboard MPC power-supply. The goal was to reduce complexity while significantly raising performance at a much lower cost, and SR succeeded without the messy outboard MPC power supplies!
 
Excite SX has an actively biased shield powered by an inboard power supply with an internal UEF Ground plane for an ultra-low noise floor. Active Shielding means Excite SX has a lower noise floor than would be possible with passive shielding of this complex multi-geometry power cord. Excite SX expands on Alive SX’s use of pure 6-9 Silver, Tungsten, and Silver Matrix conductors with additional geometries for improved dynamics and resolution.
 
To raise the bar even further, the new SR High-Frequency High Voltage Long Duration conditioning process was used, first developed for the SRX cable loom and applied to the new Purple Fuses. Then, SR internally voiced Excite SX with their new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs engineered to voice the Atmosphere SX loom with increased resolution and musicality without high-frequency fatigue. After perfecting the most natural-sounding and holographic cables in SR history, they were taken further with a new high voltage conditioning process that applies a sweeping frequency plot for an extended duration. Experiments with dozens of frequencies in different combinations over a prolonged time period were carried out before landing on just the right mix.
