The Elysia xfilter Mastering Edition is a high‑end, handcrafted analog 4‑band stereo equalizer designed specifically for professional mastering studios. With both channels linked for true stereo operation and a Class‑A discrete signal path, it delivers pristine, transparent tone shaping while preserving the original stereo image and transient detail.

All four bands feature a precise range of ±5 dB, allowing subtle, surgical corrections on the master bus without over‑processing. The topology includes high and low shelf bands that can be switched to resonant highpass and lowpass filters, giving you powerful tools for structuring the low and high ends of a mix. Side‑by‑side, two parametric mid bands with switchable Q‑factor provide flexible control over the core midrange, from broad tonal shaping to narrow surgical cuts.

A special highlight is the additional passive high band, which adds a gentle, airy lift around 12 kHz without introducing coloration, often described as “air” or “massage” by mastering engineers. Computer‑selected components and extremely low tolerances ensure a stable, consistent stereo image, while the symmetrical output stage and high headroom of up to +27 dBu make the unit suitable for demanding mastering chains. The unit offers a frequency range below 10 Hz to 400 kHz, extremely low noise (‑98 dBu), and a dynamic range of 120 dB, all housed in a lightweight aluminum chassis made in Germany.

For mastering engineers seeking a transparent, analog 4‑band stereo EQ with true stereo link, precise ±5 dB bands, resonant high/lowpass options and a uniquely smooth passive high‑band, the Elysia xfilter Mastering Edition is an essential tool at the heart of the mastering signal chain.
