The Amphion One15 is a high‑end passive nearfield monitor designed for engineers who need honest, full‑range insight in small to medium‑sized rooms. Sold here as a matched pair, the One15 provides a natural, un‑hyped presentation that lets you judge balance, tone and dynamics with confidence, whether you are mixing, mastering, editing or working in post‑production.

Each One15 combines a 5.25" aluminium woofer with a 1" high‑performance titanium dome tweeter mounted in a high‑density Corian waveguide. Like the rest of the One‑series, the crossover is set unusually low at 1600 Hz, which keeps the majority of the critical midrange information on a single driver and improves time and phase coherence between woofer and tweeter. This, together with Amphion’s controlled‑directivity waveguide, results in exceptional phase accuracy, stable stereo imaging and a wide but well‑defined sweet spot – you can move around the desk and still hear a consistent, trustworthy picture of your mix.

Instead of relying on a rear bass port, the One15 uses a sealed‑style cabinet with a rear‑mounted passive radiator. This approach delivers tight, accurate low‑frequency response down to around 49 Hz (±3 dB) without the port chuffing and overhang that can mask detail in the low‑mids. The bass feels controlled and honest rather than hyped, which makes it easier to place kick and bass in the spectrum and avoid muddy mixes. With 8 ohm nominal impedance, 84 dB sensitivity at 2.83 V/1 m and a recommended amplifier power around 20–100 W per speaker (Amphion themselves quote up to 200 W), the One15 pairs perfectly with Amphion’s Amp100 or other high‑quality, low‑noise power amplifiers.

In day‑to‑day use, the One15 Pair hits a sweet spot between the ultra‑compact One12 and the larger One18 or Two‑series models. It is detailed and revealing enough to serve as a main nearfield for mixing and mastering, yet compact enough for smaller control rooms, production rooms and mobile setups. Its combination of natural midrange, smooth highs and surprisingly solid low end for its size makes it particularly well suited to critical work on vocals, guitars, electronic music and broadcast dialogue, where translation and long‑term listening comfort are equally important.
